More random summer fun!

Our last date morning before Chloe's end of the year program at her school.   Just coffee and a scone with my love!

sleep over!
It's blurry but the art of mud "potion" making is a standard activity we enjoyed all summer long.

So glad we have so many good friends and a little family even at our community pool.  Running into cousins just makes it so much more fun!!!!!

back yard silliness
summer session has started!
One of those random too sweet, must grab a picture moment.  No reason,  she just looked adorable eating lunch in her dress and ribbon in her hair.

I took this when I drug her to a dance class the morning after we got back from nationals.  She wasn't interested in dancing with me in my exercise class.  Nope,  the poor pooped out dancer need just a little more sleep and rest!!!

Cause this is how we roll with nothing else to do!

I loved how Tuggs plopped her tail on top of me and Brian holding hands watching TV at bedtime.  It just said "hey! I'm here too" in her own kitty way!!!

Just a walk down our favorite green way near our house.  The hot summer sun made the cool creek too irresistible to pass up.  We had to soak our feet!

Just a busy week catching up with my little one.  Love love love these fewer and fewer opportunities to snuggle a sleepy little girl!!!
The sour face is from doing the "perfect ballet bun" for class.  She's in auditions this month for company so the hair has to be official and perfect.  She HATED how she looked w/ no bangs.  I thought she looked beautiful!

At the end of the year dance company pool party they handed out a silly award to each kid according to what made them unique or stand out.  I thought it was hilarious that she landed "miss manners".

just some crafts we got into.  kitty art and below a wall banner to hang and display her competition pins and medals

VBS time!!
what happens when your 7 year old learns how to take your phone when you're not around and take selfies :)

Doing some family hashing with Daddy,  this kid loves doing this with Brian.  Laying trail (throwing flour to mark where to go) and running through "shiggy" (which is off road up hills and through creeks!)
We had a great time doing this with his running group.  (and yes, the socks are part of the fun)

doing some sewing in the warm summer sunshine in the back yard.  Good times!

Dance Nationals 2014!

Chloe knows no strangers!  She befriended this adorable little girl and they played together for hours!

As always Brian found us an awesome hole in the wall find of a local seafood restaurant,  best meal we had all week!!

  Cheering on sissy!!

couldn't help it.  She looked too cute with her head phones on.

"Bully" the dance mascot having dinner with us

Ready to head home from a wild week.  I remember "Low Rider" came on the radio and we played it loud and all started jamming,  I love my family!!

I realized once we were going into Ruby Tuesdays we all still had on our matching dance family tee shirts.  Oh well, secret's out....we are dance nerds!

Well there was some drama about choosing this year's location for our nationals event that our school would attend.   Our teachers made a last minute change from SC to Florida and in the transition we lost more then half of our kids who could not make reservation change to the new venue.   It was hectic and frustrating for the kids and parents to try to make the last minute switch.  Luckily we were able to get a full refund on our reservation so we were able to transition to Panama City.   We only stayed a few days due to increased expenses but we did manage to still make some great memories and the kids of course, still had a ball.   We go with the flow in this world but it was hard on the remaining kids redoing spacing and last minute choreography changes to account for the loss in numbers.   We had some highs and lows with the changes but overall it was still a good experience.   We had a great time on our road trip.  We always do when we get some time together.   We'll see what next season brings but for now, ahhh,   home again!
