Happy Hawoween!

Little Hermione was curled up and ready for school by 7:10 in the morning!  And I spilled my coffee all over the living room trying to pry my eyes open long enough to turn her stick straight hair in the the messy haired heroin of the Harry Potter world!   We got it done.....and Brian made me another cup :)

Much to her dismay she had finally outgrown the candy corn witch costume from years prior but she found this one pretty close to it.   And she looked so sweet in it!

It was one seriously cold and wet Halloween this year but we didn't let us stop us from hitting the pavement in hunt of some candy.  We met up with some good friends a few streets over to try to make a go of it.   The kids were quite resilient for a while but after about 45 min in the dark wind and rain finally Abigail asked if we could go home.  When she came up to me to hand me her bucket she could barely loosen her frozen grip on her full bucket her hands were so pitiful!   We headed home to a warm fire, hot cocoa and footie jammies to thaw out.  It was good time.   Now what to do with all this candy!?!?

We rescued little buddy Courtney from her brothers soccer game the next morning.  We just couldn't let that baby girl sit outside for more hours in the cold and rain.  We made do with some silly crafts and another spooky party to keep the kids happy!

My gift to my unit this season.  Thanks Pinterest!

Every time I turned around these past couple weeks...this is what I saw!!

A fun chilly outdoor party in the mountains with some friends.  Too cold to take pictures this was all I got of the night.
Another Halloween craft this year, again...thanks Pinterest!!

Chloe is 5!!

This year I wanted to go as far out as we could to celebrate our sweet Chloe hitting the big 05!!   We spent months getting her to commit to a theme and she finally decided on a Finding Nemo party.    We were able to find a picnic pavilion to house the crowd and do it right.    It was a gamble for an October party but God was good and it was chilly and breezy but not unbearable.    I got my pinterest on and hand made many of the decorations including Chloe's ribbon skirt.   I wanted so badly for her to feel as special as she is!   We did a mish mosh of guests from school, church, and dance and she loved the combination of so many aspects of her little world all in one place....celebrating her!    We had a great time together and I hope she'll look back on it one day as one of her favorites.  It will be one of mine for sure.  Happy birthday our darling Chloe!!!!
