I am having a wonderful birthday week! Mom came up yesterday and took me and Abigail out for lunch and some super fun antique shopping. We filled our bellies and then bought the Bit a few cheap goodies to come home w/. Abigail was quite full of herself and happy to bring back 2 used too-too's for her dance class starting this weekend. Just 5 bucks a peice, I love bargains!
Last night we opted for a late deserts date w/ the fam at Carlos's Brazilian restaurant. So tasty! And always a good time together. Abigail sensed the fanciness of the place and immediately unfolded her linen napkin and draped it across her lap, no prompting needed. Love that kid!!!
Today we started out early for our first day of 'mommy and me' ballet class at the local company. She has been begging for a month since I told her we were doing a dance class together. I don't know who was more excited me or Abigail to get started. There are 3 little girls in the 2 yr old's only class. The Bit was the youngest out of the 3 by about 5 months but so well behaved I was proud as peach of her!!! She hung on every word that teacher said and waited in line for her turn. We started w/ some serious stretching (it's been years sinces I moved like that) then we crossed the floor w/ sashe's and twirls to Disney princess songs. Total blast and we are going to be all into this new hobbie, as long as Abigail enjoys it I'm in. I definitely was the uncooth woman in the group. Just like my Scrooge show I think I enjoyed it a little too much and way more then the other 2 mom's there. I laughed loud and cheered on the other kids as we went. At least Abigail's too young to be embarrased by her mom yet. I stuck out in my old Shelly clothes , sweat shirt and sneakers while they were thin, beautiful and in talored jeans and tops. Oh well, who cares I had fun!!
We just need to hook the Bit up with some official dance shoes and we're set. The poor dear kept falling out of her hard shoes trying to walk on her tippy toes. But no fear, we're off today to Once upon a Child for some much needed slippy dance shoes. As we walked back to the car Abigail looked up at me and asked so sweetly "Mommy, can I wide the schoow bus?". To which I replied, "don't grow up too fast on me little one, I'm loving right now way too much!!!!"
