End of the year picnic

Totally busted these two got lazy and let their mommy's fill their plates for the picnic, they wanted to chill...and evidently get a little mushy. :) At least I really love his mom and she loves Abigail. We've decided if these two do fall madly in love and grow old together we're ok w/ it! :)

stealing a squeeze from Garrison her buddy

I had to bribe her w/ chocolate to get this good Kodak smile. :)

me and de Chwoe, watching the events

Run Forest Run!! I swear that girl.....she's impossible to take a photo of. She just can't be still....ever! She would just zoom by me w/ an evil smile as if to say "yeah, I know, you can't take a picture of me mommy!"

Chloe, helping herself to the kids toys. She was participating in her own little way

This was a sweet celebration for the end of this years school term. We had to opt for indoors due to the rain but as you can see we had a great time anyway.

Happy Birthday Mi-Mi

smart man Ben!!

Thank goodness Shannon did slip some video footage of the dance! Much to mom's horror and Dad's pure delight!

We had such a wonderful birthday celebration for mom tonight. We took her to a
Japanese steakhouse and it was a rowdy feast for sure. It'd been so long since her or Dad had been to one it was like taking them to their first fire show. Amy and Shannon met us there w/ their kids and we all stuffed ourselves w/ food and fun. The funniest part was when Amy told the staff it was mom's birthday. They came out w/ some drums and did a birthday drum song then mom grabbed some grand kids and out right shook her booty for the entire restaurant. You'd have thought she was one liquored up lady but nope she just loved the rhythm and the kids and has no fear! Abigail and Caroline danced and giggled themselves silly. The rest of us hooted and hollered and made an ultimate scene for the whole establishment. The icing on the cake was after the noise died down another family was leaving and this man came over to my mother, told her how impressed he was at her. Then he said he wanted to take her picture when she was dancing but his wife wouldn't let him. It was a riot! Only my mother! It was a great time together. Happy birthday to an amazing woman!

just one of those funny things you find in the morning

This morning Brian woke up, fixed his coffee like he always does, then went to sit down and almost landed on a sleeping Bit in his spot on the couch. She was in a deep princess sleep so he left her alone. Then he scanned the room and noticed a new play area set up across one side of the floor. A big green military woobie and toys spread all over it. On one side Mickey Mouse was neatly tucked under her woobie blanket safe and sound like she had put him to bed. Unsure when she had come out and made herself comfortable he just let her sleep for another hour. After I got up w/ the Chloe bird Brian couldn't resist any longer. He scooped up the Bit for some snuggle time. She then woke up some, enough for him to inquire about the night. It went something like this....."Abigail, did you come in here overnight and play?" "Well, I had a dary scarey story daddy" (that's what she calls her dreams)....."what was your story about little one"...."well, it was about spiders and I needed to get out of the wicked dark cause I kept seeing scarey things trying to get me....so I came out here to be with Stella and she took care of me". [Bri] "sweetie why didn't you call for me?" [the bit] " well...I did call for you but I just used my normal voice cause I didn't want to wake up Chwoey so I just came out here w/ Stella. Then I saw all my toys so I got hyper". We found her in a heap of plastic rings on the couch so I asked her what that was all about. She said, "well, I just wanted to look beautiful in de mowrning".

I had a good coversation about how to get us overnight if she ever wakes up scared again. Poor baby, I hate to think of her curling up with that fat cat for comfort in the middle of the night. At least Stella was a good little baby sitter. I did find a little poop terd on the floor as well this morning so who knows how stressed that poor kitty was or what they went through together! :) Now Abigail knows to give daddy a good shake when she needs him (cause saying his name when he's sleeping is like a lulliby to him he needs blunt force to awaken him) I'd say wake me up but I know Bri wants to be her knight in shining armor to ward off the scarey stories. When she's got the coughs or the quizies she's all mine and no shaking needed. I always hear those cries for some reason. We love our little princess and the cute quirky things she does and especially the funny ways she tells us about them!

Messy Day at Preschool

Her and her BFF Garison, a girl from another class and on the end is another friend Katie

the kids stood in a line to take turns pushing Chloe

shocker.....she ate the swing

her smile says it all, she had a ball

I love this! I told Abigail to get into the shaving cream and have fun, she humored me w/ getting some on her little hand then promptly washed it off w/ her watering can and walked away. :)

Chloe was quite a hit w/ the little girls

she has told me all year about rolling down the hill, she was thrilled to get to show me.

I just can't tell you how much I love Abigail's preschool this year. We found just a special program to put her in we couldn't be more thrilled w/ her first year of school. I am soooo glad that she is 3 going on 4 and NOT 4 going on kindergarden!! I never thought I'd be one of those mom's that didn't want her kids to grow up too fast. But man, who's laughing now?! I love this age and am having a blast at her sweet innocence and zest for learning and friends. This particular day was a fun one. The kids all wore swim suits and played in sprinklers, got their hands messy playing on a picnic table covered in shaving cream, making pillow cases and eating popcicles. It was so fun and Chloe even had a ball! It's so fun to watch Abigail in her element. She's a funny girl. In some ways she's a little leader with her friends, then on the other had she seems to slip off by herself to get into her own little zone. Once I caught her walking along the ridge of the hill w/ a bunch of clover flowers in her hands and singing at the top of her lungs in her bare feet. When I asked her about it later on she said she was acting out the scene in Sleeping Beauty when Arora gathers the flowers in the woods and sings. Wow, then it made sense! She's my little actress. It was fun to be a part of. I'm looking forward to next year and all the memories we'll make.

an evening at the lake

We headed to the lake for a dinner w/ mom and dad last week. We had a great lazy night together, enjoyed some good food and had fun feeling the full force of summer on the evening horizon.
