Sunday was a very special mothers day here. My wonderful hubby pulled out and incredible surprise of giving me a new oven! Sounds a little lavish but when you've been living with out an oven since Valentines day it will feel really good to have one again. God bless good work connections to hook us up with a killer deal. He and Abigail spoiled me with sausage and eggs while I got a nice long shower. Then we headed off to church....early! ( I must remember and document these few days we are actually punctual!) We had the beautiful pleasure of dedicating our sweet baby Chloe at church. She did so good and I was so thankful that she decided NOT to hose our wonderful pastor with spit up during the ceremony (thanks Amy and Sue for your prayers!!!). Pastor Jay explained how her name means "full of life" and how true that already is. What a live wire giggle box this woman child is! Abigail and Mi-Mi sat on the front row and waved to us through the dedication. It was a perfect mommy moment to dedicate another sweet baby girl into a life time commitment to raising a child in God's love. And to do it with my first sweet baby girl waving to me from the pew was a special time for me. No better mothers day gift I assure you. Chloe did pretty good to get through the sermon but we had to duck out near the end when she decided to compete with the message and try instead to get her own out there. And luckily she waited to spray the church carpet until after we got to the lobby.
After church Brian had to go to work (boo !! hiss) but the girls and I , and Christine went with mom and dad to visit Nonee. We enjoyed a KFC picnic at her apartment. It was great to spend some time with her and Abigail was as smitten as ever with my giggling lovable grandmother.
We headed home after that for some much needed R&R and waited for our boy to come home. He brought us some pizza, we put the girls to bed then I got my request of an unofficial date night. I asked Brian to bring me home some real movie theater popcorn to watch our netflix with. And he brought me the biggest drippiest butter bucket from grand cinema and I ate to my tummies contentment. We had a great day as a family. I adore being a mother to the sweetest most precious two little girls in the whole world!! I am one happy mamma that's for darn sure! I thank God so much for the happy place I find my self in today. I never take a second of it for granted.
