So proud of our girl today! And her little BFF Emma stood beside her getting the same award for her class. Proof they not only are great kids but pick great friends!!

She had great connection with a wonderful teacher this year. She really helped her catch up from some overcrowded classes in kindergarten and first grade. Abigail grew leaps and bounds this year!!
Waiting on meeting daddy for an early lunch. I always just take her out of the last hour of school after the award ceremony is done (it's allowed the schools gives it's blessing to do so) and go grab a special lunch or outing to celebrate the end of the year.
We wrapped up 2nd grade today. It's been a great year this year. Not that we didn't enjoy kindergarten and first grade but this year the ROCKIN principle fought hard for the kids with the county and added a 4th teacher to split the classes up and bring the numbers down in the classrooms. It made ALL the difference and finally we were able to cover major academic ground with a better student to teacher ratio. Abigail always loves her teachers but this particular one she really bonded with. She finished the year with a special award and earned the principles award for her class meaning she worked hard and always was a model student to the teachers and her peers. Brian and I are so proud of her hard work and good behavior with her classmates and the teachers. Now on to some much needed time off. We are looking forward to that bus not coming to take her at the crack of dawn, sleeping in and playing all summer long!! Swimming pool here we come!!
