first pony ride

Well this summer has been a wild ride. We are doing great, enjoying some much loved fun in the sun this year. We've had our ups and downs. Brian lost his job 2nd week in June which was not a surprise. We strongly feel that God threw him a life boat and sent him safely with severence off of a sinking ship. To avoid the stress of unemployment we have caught up for the past year of NO family time together. We are making up for all the months we've gone w/o a day off together. It's been like 5 weeks of vacation. Brian started his new job this week and is loving it! God is so good to place him somewhere so fast when all around us we were flooded w/ stories of people who've been out of work for months and months. He's in his same field just with a more stable successful company. We visited his new office today and took him some family pictures to adorn his walls with. Chloe broke in the place crawling under things and hiding from us like a mischevious puppy. Speaking of Chloe, she had her well visit yesterday and did wonderful. They agreed she should model for Gerber and so we should get baby food for free. I totally supported that idea. :) She's chubby and healthy and growing like the weed she is. Keeping us up a lot these days, but we're surviving. Abigail is the trooper of all troopers as a big sister. Leaving the office yesterday she announces "mommy, Chloe's eating her bandaid!". Now it's probably not a good idea to put little pieces of plastic on a 9 month old but I guess they don't all peel them off and try to ingest them. So I whipped the car over into park and fished it out of her mouth in time, promising a big chocolate cookie to the Bit when we got home for superb big sisterness! She is so sweet to the new addition she makes my heart melt. They both do. I can't believe how much love is between two people who can't talk to each other! Sisterhood is something special for sure. Brian and I are having a ball watching the relationship develop. I'm sure they'll fight over each others shoes at some point in their lives but for now.....we just love watching the gooey drooley poorly pronounced and silent admiration they have for one another. It's God's special gift to us to see, and we are so thankful!
