just one of those funny things you find in the morning

This morning Brian woke up, fixed his coffee like he always does, then went to sit down and almost landed on a sleeping Bit in his spot on the couch. She was in a deep princess sleep so he left her alone. Then he scanned the room and noticed a new play area set up across one side of the floor. A big green military woobie and toys spread all over it. On one side Mickey Mouse was neatly tucked under her woobie blanket safe and sound like she had put him to bed. Unsure when she had come out and made herself comfortable he just let her sleep for another hour. After I got up w/ the Chloe bird Brian couldn't resist any longer. He scooped up the Bit for some snuggle time. She then woke up some, enough for him to inquire about the night. It went something like this....."Abigail, did you come in here overnight and play?" "Well, I had a dary scarey story daddy" (that's what she calls her dreams)....."what was your story about little one"...."well, it was about spiders and I needed to get out of the wicked dark cause I kept seeing scarey things trying to get me....so I came out here to be with Stella and she took care of me". [Bri] "sweetie why didn't you call for me?" [the bit] " well...I did call for you but I just used my normal voice cause I didn't want to wake up Chwoey so I just came out here w/ Stella. Then I saw all my toys so I got hyper". We found her in a heap of plastic rings on the couch so I asked her what that was all about. She said, "well, I just wanted to look beautiful in de mowrning".

I had a good coversation about how to get us overnight if she ever wakes up scared again. Poor baby, I hate to think of her curling up with that fat cat for comfort in the middle of the night. At least Stella was a good little baby sitter. I did find a little poop terd on the floor as well this morning so who knows how stressed that poor kitty was or what they went through together! :) Now Abigail knows to give daddy a good shake when she needs him (cause saying his name when he's sleeping is like a lulliby to him he needs blunt force to awaken him) I'd say wake me up but I know Bri wants to be her knight in shining armor to ward off the scarey stories. When she's got the coughs or the quizies she's all mine and no shaking needed. I always hear those cries for some reason. We love our little princess and the cute quirky things she does and especially the funny ways she tells us about them!
